The engagement invitations have been designed, printed, and sealed. Now, we just have to mail them out.
We also met with a last-minute substitute reception coordination know-how and a florist today. Good stuff. Things are coming together, but really, it’s about who I’m marrying. She is the greatest.
…really fast.
We haven’t selected a photographer yet, but we have an idea for a cake vendor, a caterer, and a place. We also have the rings (almost: Cindy’s band is getting sized). The expenses are high in the air.
We’re just poor, that’s all. We’re both going to school full-time. We have enough to creep by.
So we went to a wedding expo last Saturday at Union Station in Ogden, and one of the vendors there gave Cindy a reason never to talk to her again:
As Cindy was describing the style of dress she wanted and perusing this vendor’s catalog, the vendor leaned in to Cindy’s personal space, tilted her head and belligerently whispered, “I only sell MODEST dresses.”
Cindy just said, “Oh, okay,” as she perused the catalog with modest and immodest dresses alike. Honestly, if you’re going to huff about only selling modest dresses, don’t put non-LDS dresses in your catalog.
That’s just common sense, and it shows that you don’t care about customer service.
The vendor is located in Hooper, Utah. Their website:

As of Friday, November 12, 2010, Cindy and I are officially engaged to be married.
Just thought you all would like to know.

She is the love of my life. She is my inspiration. She is my one and only.
I love her.
So Cindy and I were on our way to the airport today, and I told her that I really want to marry her; I’m getting impatient.
Her response:
“I have to pee.”
She said this more than once.
I love her.
